About me

After obtaining a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education with Science from The University of St Mark and St John, I joined the dedicated and committed staff at St Minver School ( highly-regarded in the  local area).  I helped the school develop its Mastery approach to the teaching of maths as part of my role as Maths Subject Leader.

My teaching has been judged as outstanding  by every Ofsted inspection I have been involved in.

I am currently part way through a Masters Degree in Maths Specialist Teaching through the Open University.

Leaving class teaching after 20 years has given me the opportunity to really focus on helping pupils develop their Maths and English as well as achieving a better work life balance.

I believe that every child has the capacity and ability to learn, grow in confidence and ultimately succeed.

With one of my grandchildren

I  enjoy exploring the outdoors with my husband and my fluffy dog Oscar,  archery  and cooking for friends and family. I am a keen amateur photographer and Francophile. I love spending time in France with friends and family whenever possible, making the most of the good food and more relaxed pace of life.  But more than anything, I love spending time with my two daughters and eight wonderful grandchildren.
